We cannot see your notes. Grove is a local-first application. All your canvases, text, cards, and files are stored exclusively on your local hard drive. We do not host your data on our servers, and we have no mechanism to access it.
2. Information We Collect
While we do not collect your personal data through the app, we do collect limited information related to your purchase and account:
- Account & Payment Data: When you purchase Grove, our payment processor (Paddle) collects your email address, name, and payment information to issue your license key and process the transaction. We do not store your credit card details.
- License Verification: The Grove app occasionally pings our license server with your license key to verify validity.
- Website Analytics: We use privacy-friendly analytics on our website (like Plausible or Fathom) to count page views without tracking individual users or using cookies.
3. Telemetry and Crash Reports
By default, Grove does not send analytics or crash reports. In the future, we may offer an opt-in crash reporting feature to help us fix bugs, but this will never be enabled without your explicit consent.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our business:
- Paddle: For payment processing and managing license keys.
- Netlify: For hosting our website.
